David M Berry doing Plein Air in the Tetons, Photo courtsey of Dee Lee

David Martin Berry, aka Berry Boy Blue

Born in Spokane, WA

The Passion for the arts started brewing in the first grade of David’s journey. David began drawing and writing short stories and even won several school competitions. David also did stand-ins for movies and a TV show, Walker Texas Ranger. David enrolled and graduated from the Dallas Sound Lab for Audio Engineering.

David got interested in oil painting shortly after moving to Nashville, TN.  David found Artist David Gilihan and had studied under him for over five years. A fire had been lit and “Berry Boy Blue” found his stroke! David believes that it’s not how much time you have been doing something, but how much passion you have while doing it.

The people who know David best would say that he is a dreamer, a go getter, and wears his passion on his sleeve. David’s life experiences have developed his journey along the way to see God’s Will. David’s ambitions have never been average. He believes that God has created something special in everyone. Since he was 12 David has had as many jobs as the ingredients in Heinz 57 bottle. After five years with a Fortune 500 company with a big future, David decided to walk away and pursue his journey to keep developing his talents and keep the passion burning by moving back to the Northwest opening his studio.

David has lived and traveled throughout the country trying the new experiences that life has to offer. With those experiences, David has become a better artist and developed an understanding of the passion that makes art, art.
